NexGen Academy: Is helping shape the futures of aspiring young footballers
The NexGen Academy exists to help train, educate, guide, develop, advise and support young athletes, aged 13-19yrs, as they embark on their journey into professional football.
For almost a quarter of a century The NexGen Academy, in partnership with The Shankly Family Foundation, has helped young sportsperson improve athletic skills and sharpen the mental resilience needed to succeed in a career in football.
As an important, and inspiring, part of the local community our players will also learn what’s expected of them, on and off field, in order for them to be ambassadors for The Academy, region and the game as a whole.
As both The NexGen Academy and The Shankly Family Foundation are both ‘Not For Profit’ organisations we offer all our experience at expertise at affordable andaccessible rates.

What does the Academy cost?
All players must purchase Academy kit and pay registration fees and a contribution to travel costs. There is also anannual fee cost to ourone year scholarship at The NexGen Academy. This fee will be reimbursed on completion of the programme.
